About The Position
Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Accessioning team in Lakewood, CO. The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures. Application Window Closes: 1/15/26 Pay Range: $18.29 - $20.00 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Schedule: Monday-Saturday As needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Not relative experience required; 1-2 years preferred
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS office
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to pass a standardized color blind test
Nice To Haves
- Previous medical or production experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Data entry of patient information for surgical specimen from hospitals and clinics in an accurate and timely manner
- Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
- Resolve and document any problem specimens
- Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted
- Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes
- Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results
- Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required
- Handle and dispose of waste
- Comply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures
