About The Position
Rugby Architectural Building Products is seeking a Specification Representative to join our growing team in the Utah and Idaho regions. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, along with the potential for performance bonuses. The Specification Representative will play a crucial role in promoting and creating demand for our specialty building products in both commercial and residential markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving increased revenues by building strong relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and other industry professionals. In this hybrid work environment, the Specification Representative will combine telework with time spent at our local branch and significant travel to key markets, including Salt Lake City and Boise. The role requires a proactive approach to sales, as the representative will serve as the product manager for our entire product line, ensuring that our offerings meet the needs of the design and architecture communities. The day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, preparing and submitting detailed product specifications, and delivering compelling presentations to educate customers about our products. Regular site visits, attendance at industry trade shows, and participation in networking events will be essential for building brand awareness and expanding our customer base. The Specification Representative will also gather customer feedback and market intelligence to identify opportunities for product improvement or expansion, providing valuable insights to management.
