About The Position

Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialists is looking to add a Specialty Veterinary Technician Supervisor to our team—someone who is passionate about patient care and energized by leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on team development, workflow coordination, and maintaining a consistently high standard of patient care. You’ll partner closely with hospital leadership while serving as a trusted resource and support system for the specialty services teams. Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or equivalent) preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting, with advanced clinical and technical skills
  • Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and support a diverse team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Comfortable handling client communication, including discussing treatment plans and addressing concerns
  • Proficiency with practice management systems and general computer skills
  • A team-first mindset with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of veterinary technicians in a collaborative, accountable environment
  • Oversee daily workflow, coordinating patient care, treatments, and team responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on clinical support including medical, surgical, and anesthetic procedures
  • Support consistent, high-quality patient care across all cases
  • Train, mentor, and onboard technical staff
  • Partner with leadership on staffing, scheduling, and performance management
  • Maintain accurate, compliant medical records
  • Support a positive client experience through clear communication and efficient patient flow
  • Assist in resolving client concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Monitor inventory, equipment, and treatment areas to ensure operational readiness
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and team operations
