About The Position

Position Overview: The Surgical Technician will work directly with the surgeon and the circulating registered nurse. Creates and maintains a sterile field while assisting the surgeon in delivering effective surgical intervention. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from surgical technologist school or one (1) year of acute care hospital experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • SST II: Two (2) years surgery technician experience in the Operating Room environment
  • SST II: Scrub majority of service-lines independently
  • SST II: Ability to precept others and is recognized as a resource for other staff
