About The Position

As a Specialty Services Drafter, you will calculate sizes and create drawings needed for both customers and production on a variety of custom windows and doors. Assist production personnel, engineers and customer support teams with product options.

Able to juggle multiple projects in different stages at any given time.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of operating CAD systems (AutoCAD preferred).
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc)
Ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications and other technical information sources.
Interest in architecture and architectural products.
Associate’s degree in Architectural Design or equivalent is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in window & door industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review customer requests and assist with creating non-standard units
Create production and customer drawings using AutoCAD
Create special grille drawings for glass production
Use your creativity to find solutions to customer requests
Review and adjust sizing on quotes for special alignment
Size units from customer supplied templates
Provide special details per customer requests
Suggest improvements and help implement changes to systems and processes. Test new and updated programs. Participate in project teams
Calculate specific sizing dimensions for non-current product, based on formulas
Work with production staff to address questions
