About The Position

This role is a crucial team member contributing to an award-winning, nationally recognized program at the St. Cloud Hospital Heart and Vascular Center. The Cardiovascular program has consistently been ranked in the Top 50 US News & World report for Cardiology and Heart surgery. The Specialty Scheduling Assistant will work daily with specialists, providing scheduling support to the department. This involves participating in the coordination of clinic activity through the processing of physician orders and performing patient scheduling duties to support patient care staff. The position requires interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to ensure all scheduling needs are met in a timely and accurate manner, demanding strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required
  • 1 year experience or equivalent knowledge/skills required
  • Must demonstrate excellent communicative skills
  • Typing 50 wpm
  • Working knowledge of computers and general office equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Post high school secretarial training preferred
