The role of a Specialty Sales Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of guest service fundamentals and experience; building a guest first culture on your team, retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies, and planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience.
  • Model, train and coach team member expectations to deliver on our GUEST service model culture.
  • Plan daily/weekly workload at the direction of your direct leader.
  • Execute the same to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
  • Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning.
  • Help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
  • Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns.
  • Encourage team to use tools available in their department to welcome, inspire and influence guests.
  • Partner with third party vendors to ensure brand standards and merchandising are being met.
  • Support team's execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets.
  • Create inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organized and merchandised to support seasonal trends.
  • Support your direct leader in leading assigned department area backroom processes.
  • Participate in team hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Lead your team in prioritizing the guest experience.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
  • Lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors.
  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store.
  • Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and Drive-up.
  • Model creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests.
  • Engage with guests when assistance is needed.
