About The Position

The Specialty Representative for AbbVie is a field-based role focused on promoting and selling a portfolio of prescription products for the treatment of Central Precocious Puberty. This position requires building relationships with Pediatric Endocrinologists and their support staff, as well as select pediatricians, to achieve franchise objectives and provide consultative product service and support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing, Science, or other Technical Disciplines (nursing or pharmacy).
• Minimum of three to five years of successful field sales experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related sales.
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
• Prior medical, biomedical, pharmacy, or nursing experience is desirable.
• Endocrinology sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover a territory including the greater Los Angeles area and north up to Santa Barbara and Bakersfield.
• Develop relationships with clinical call points to achieve franchise objectives.
• Provide clinical messaging of product portfolio and coordinate product support logistics.
• Establish strong business relationships with targeted customer base.
• Keep abreast of market trends and competitive products in Pediatric endocrine offices/clinics.
• Identify opportunities for business expansion via new therapy starts.
• Detail key promotional products tailored to customer needs and objections.
• Execute promotional activities and trial placements for target products.
• Provide education/in-service events for clinical staff on key promotional products.
• Remain a technical expert on AbbVie and competitive products.
