Under the clinical supervision of a supervising physician, the incumbent is a certified Physician Assistant who possesses advanced training/skills in assessing, diagnosing, and treating the well patient as well as the patient with acute illness and disease. Works in a collaborative team practice that recognizes the patient as the central focus. Supports the physician in situations requiring physical assessment and complex communications with patients. Serves as a patient educator in areas of specialization. This position is within the department of gastroenterology. We are an exclusive outpatient practice with a balanced schedule that provides an optimal work life balance. A combination of remote and in-person patient visits allows flexibility in designing the work schedule. There is a diverse group of gastroenterologists and physician assistants. Our practice provides compassionate, evidence-based care for a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions including specialized areas such as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Metabolic liver diseases.
