About The Position

Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital offers medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric and critical care services. In March 2012, the Cotton Family Birth Center at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital was designated a Baby-Friendly® birth center by Baby-Friendly USA. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches. Under moderate direction and supervision, the Specialty Pharmacy Technician operates in designated areas or job functions within the site location. This role functions relatively independently and has some decision-making responsibility. The technician may interact with other departments and/or businesses outside of the pharmacy department. This position requires enhanced knowledge/training of the assigned area above and beyond a typical pharmacy technician role. The technician is required to adhere to regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance (including USP [795] [797] [800] in sites that perform sterile compounding).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience in pharmacy
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Adhere to regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance (including USP [795] [797] [800] in sites that perform sterile compounding)
• Participate in training of employees in the area of specialty
