Requirements

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
• Completion of Technician training program
• Registered Technician with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
• BLS Certification
• 2+ years of specialty or retail pharmacy technician experience

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified
• Prior authorization experience
• Financial assistance counseling experience
• Experience with EPIC EHR

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for Kelsey-Seybold patients in navigating the specialty pharmacy process, including but not limited to obtaining prior authorization, conducting benefit investigation, and evaluating financial assistance opportunities
• Maintains good customer service and helps address patient's needs
• Use EPIC to gather data necessary for prescription processing
• Manage medication stock when necessary
• Perform other tasks as assigned
