The Specialty Pharmacy Manager at Central Florida Health Care (CFHC) is responsible for management and performance of the specialty pharmacy program, specifically focused on growing and expanding services, ensuring comprehensive management, quality, and execution with a strong focus on patient outcomes, satisfaction, business development, and the specialty drug pipeline, including limited drugs and information management. This role oversees daily operations, ensures compliance with 340B Drug Pricing Program, Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), federal and state pharmacy regulations, provides clinical expertise, and drives strategic initiatives to optimize medication therapy outcomes for patients with complex, chronic, or rare conditions. The manager collaborates with clinical providers, payers, and internal stakeholders to optimize patient outcomes, ensure access, affordability, and high-quality care within the 340B program framework.

  • Supervise staff, managing daily operations such as interpreting prescriptions, packaging, labeling, dispensing, administering, and distributing medications and devices.
  • Provide patient education and counseling as needed.
  • Work closely with site leadership to implement pharmacy policies and procedures, streamline operations and uphold high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in URAC specialty pharmacy operations.
  • Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and yearly URAC reporting and accreditation requirements.
  • Provide guidance on specialty related matters and ensure all levels of leadership understand the impact and logistics of business decisions.
  • Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and operations to have compliant and successful specialty and clinical programs.
  • Manage daily administrative and operational activities of specialty pharmacy.
  • Conduct training for specialty pharmacy staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy management (MTM).
  • Ensure compliance with government laws and regulations, company policies, procedures, ethics, and code of conduct.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
  • Active Pharmacist License in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy and valid BLS certification.
  • 5 Years management experience.
  • Current unrestricted clinical license.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to FQHCs.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with the 340B drug pricing program.
  • Current immunization certification.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • NHSC - $75,000 for a 2-year commitment and then $20,000 for each additional year commitment until the loan has been paid in full.
  • PSLF - 10-year commitment, 120 loan payments and at the end of the commitment, the remaining loan is forgiven.
