Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training/experience
  • At least one year of overall experience (Including external experience).
  • BLS - Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

  • Checkin/out
  • Assist, monitor and perform virtual rooming for cardiovascular providers
  • Performs patient care, including vital signs, weight, height, rooming andassisting providers with cardiovascular medication reconciliation
  • Vaccine administration
  • Medication Reconciliation
  • POC testing
  • Specimen collection
  • Weekly clinic preparation of cardiovascular clinic visit (i.e. pre post op clinic appointments, lab work, monitoring and reporting results from heart device testing and diagnostic testing)
  • Patient phone calls/triage
  • Stocking of clinic area
  • Medication and supply ordering
  • Prescription refills
  • CRM/In Basket Management Protocols as assigned
  • Disability paperwork
  • EverReady Checklist
  • Temp logs
  • Coordinates day to day support operations and services for the clinic and cardiovascular programs
  • Ensures the timely completion of work assignments
  • Responsible for workplace safety and infection prevention within the scope of the role
  • Serve as an ambassador/liaison between the physician, the patient, and the Cardiovascular Health staff, nurses and clinical associates
