As a Specialty Nurse in our clinic, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with leading Cardiologists and a supportive team dedicated to improving the heart health of our community.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license in Iowa.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Certification in Cardiac Nursing (e.g., AACN or ANCC) highly desirable.
• BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification required.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiac conditions, including health history, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic procedures such as stress tests, echocardiograms, and Holter monitoring.
• Educate patients about their cardiac condition, treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests as needed.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, and assist with minor procedures under the supervision of a physician.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
