Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5 years of medical assistant experience in an outpatient vascular surgery clinical setting.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification.

• Proficiency in clinical skills and office procedures.
• Knowledge of insurance, utilization review, and scheduling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients, staff, and physicians to maintain operational efficiency and customer service.
• Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in assigned area and within scope of practice.
• Administer medications safely and accurately per guidelines and written orders.
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures and obtain consent.
• Document patient care accurately per protocol.
• Manage telephone messages and ensure prompt return of calls.
• Monitor patient flow and physician schedules to complete daily tasks.
• Participate in clinical projects as directed by the physician or manager.
• Complete Quality Assurance assignments and ensure department compliance.
