About The Position

Amentum Nuclear Projects is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy; we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction. We’re looking for a Specialty Mechanical Equipment Engineer knowledgeable in specialty machinery design. Ideal candidate would have between 5 and 15 years of experience and be competent using discipline-specific technical software such as: SOLIDWORKS, Creo, ANSYS and other CAD/CAE software packages. The work will be performed in Oak Ridge, TN with potentially some travel. Join us and love what you do. Requirements

10 or more years of experience
B.S. Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.
Knowledge and experience with specialized mechanical equipment.
Experience with management of scope, schedule, and budget of individual projects.
Ability to follow established Amentum’s quality procedures and ensures that all work accomplished under their control is accomplished under established quality procedures.
Experience working within a quality system based on ISO 9000 or NQA-1
Knowledge of machine design, selection of machine elements (bearings, seals, etc.) and machine controls (hydraulic, electrical, etc.)
Competent using discipline-specific technical software such as: SOLIDWORKS, Creo, ANSYS, etc.
Competent using Microsoft Office software.
US citizenship required.
