About The Position

The Specialty Food Server at Chi in Las Vegas is responsible for providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. This role involves strong menu knowledge, effective communication with guests, and the ability to make recommendations on food and beverages. The server will take orders, assist with food delivery, and ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • At least six months previous experience in a full service dining venue
  • Experience providing high-touch guest service in a high-energy environment
  • Knowledge of beers, spirits, and wines
  • Ability to use chopsticks
  • Comfortable with self-banking
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Experience exercising sound judgment in difficult guest situations
  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and computers
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Effective communication in English, both written and verbal
  • Bilingual or multilingual in Cantonese, Chinese Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Korean preferred
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required
  • Verify right to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual or multilingual in at least one of the following languages: Cantonese, Chinese Mandarin, Vietnamese, and/or Korean

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in an upbeat and positive manner
  • Enthusiastically demonstrate knowledge of beer, spirits, and wines
  • Present menus to guests and use suggestive selling techniques
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, including house specials and preparation techniques
  • Take beverage and food orders according to service standards
  • Serve and replenish drinks in a timely manner
  • Input orders accurately into POS system
  • Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction
  • Accept payment for checks and tender change or receipts
  • Extend courteous departures and invite guests to return
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services and local activities
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist other team members as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
