About The Position
As a Specialty Collections Consultant at Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, you will play a crucial role in managing collections on selected portfolios to maximize recovery and ensure loans are directed to the appropriate workout strategies. This position requires a proactive approach to contacting borrowers, setting up payment arrangements, and resolving delinquent accounts. You will utilize both manual calls and automated dialing systems to reach out to borrowers, ensuring that you maintain compliance with FDCPA guidelines throughout the process. Your responsibilities will include reviewing loan information, identifying optimal workout strategies based on individual borrower circumstances, and effectively communicating with clients and borrowers via email and phone. In this role, you will be expected to document all interactions meticulously, ensuring that all complaints and resolutions are logged accurately for client review. You will also be responsible for utilizing skip tracing tools to locate borrowers when necessary and updating contact preferences and language changes in the system. The position demands a strong understanding of mortgage servicing processes, particularly in relation to delinquency management, and the ability to work collaboratively with designated clients. The Specialty Collections Consultant must meet monthly departmental goals, including maintaining a target number of payments and ensuring that all calls are resolved in a single interaction. This role is essential to the company’s operations and requires an on-site presence to facilitate training, collaboration, and productivity.
