About The Position

The Hillsboro Health Specialty Clinic Department Receptionist performs scheduling, clerical, receptionist and communication duties. Assists in requisitioning supplies, equipment and services as directed by the Clinical Supervisor. Normally scheduled Monday through Friday. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supports and promotes an environment conducive to the Mission, Vision and Values of Hillsboro Specialty Clinic Greets and admits patients assuring that all required paperwork is completed. Schedules and maintains patient schedule for each clinic per physician’s requirements. Completes follow-up reminder notices to patients. Assists in transporting patients to and from room as necessary. Assists Supervisor/RN with inventory of supplies. Maintain orderly condition of assigned work area. Maintain confidentiality of all patients, hospital, and physician related information Is knowledgeable of Hillsboro Specialty Clinic specific policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned and are subject to change with or without prior notice. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Completes assigned daily duties. Accepts reassignment to other units if necessary. Follows expected work practices. Displays thoroughness and accuracy of work. Works in a safe manner, including reporting unsafe equipment or environment. Well organized, accepts assignments willingly and accomplishes them quickly. Anticipates problems and suggests solutions. Helps with not specifically assigned duties. Works steadily and always keeps busy. Maintain knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and interact with patients, visitors, and staff in the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric/adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric Ability to work well with a diverse work team. Ability to work under pressure with time constraints. Ability to concentrate. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work well with numbers. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum 1 year’s computer experience with proficiency in multiple computer applications
  • Works well with numbers.
  • Required proficiency in general clerical office duties, i.e., computer keyboarding, calculator, with average typing skills.
  • Excellent customer services skills
