About The Position
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be an indispensable clinical partner, elevating patient care and optimizing physician efficiency through advanced support. Every day, you will expertly manage clinical documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), accurately perform ancillary healthcare services, and execute specific physician instructions, ensuring precise and efficient patient visits. To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced clinical proficiency with exceptional attention to detail, a strong aptitude for electronic health records, and a proactive approach to supporting high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or High School GED
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or
- National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or
- National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or
- Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire or
Responsibilities
- Collect appropriate data and perform testing to prepare patient for provider visit.
- Maintain patient flow through the clinic.
- Pull patient voicemails and process messages to the nurses as appropriate.
- Complete patient refills as requested by both patient and pharmacy, ensuring appropriate labs are ordered as needed and protocol is followed.
- Assist nurses with patient messages as necessary.
- Assist nurses with reviewing physician blue book as necessary.
