About The Position

The Specialty Artist - MAC at Ulta Beauty is responsible for maximizing sales of the MAC brand by engaging with guests to understand their needs, assisting them in selecting and purchasing products, and maintaining store standards. This role requires professional makeup artistry skills, exceptional guest service, and a strong knowledge of MAC products. The Specialty Artist acts as a brand ambassador, supporting the Experience Manager and contributing to the overall guest experience and store performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Cosmetology or demonstrator license where required by state law.
• Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in sales, products, and service.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed MAC brand sales and service goals.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by interfacing with guests and maintaining contact with a preferred guest list.

• Conduct personalized makeup demonstrations and skincare analyses according to brand standards.
• Stay informed about promotions and marketing initiatives within the brand and store.
• Book appointments and support in-store events to enhance guest experience and meet sales goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to better serve guests.
