About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience for Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8)
  • 12+ years of pharmaceutical/medical device experience for Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle
  • Ability to travel domestically, including overnight travel up to 30% as necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Specialty Products that utilize the Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy modes of distribution
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
  • Experience in Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales

Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific knowledge and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of GSK biologic products.
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape for specialist customers and refer them to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Deliver product educational programs and in-services to customers.
  • Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values at all times.
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales.
  • Implement customer-specific strategies for accounts including Allergists, Pulmonologists, and office managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other GSK functions.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources, including financial resources.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer requests and inquiries.
