About The Position

The Specialties Manager will oversee the D8, D10 and specialties sales division at Cisco Supply.  This includes managing personnel in the department, growing sales and project management.  This manager will implement procedures and processes to facilitate sales from bid process to job close out.

Requirements

  • Division 8 and 10 material experience – Minimum 5 years.
  • Understanding of material takeoffs for Division 8 and 10.
  • Division 8 and 10 detailing and procurement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management, preferably in the building materials or construction supply industry.
  • Supervisory experience required, with proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of department employees.
  • Sales growth of current and future product lines.
  • D8 and D10 product line expansion.
  • Implement key processes and procedures.
  • Profitability of projects and department.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Promote and upsell specialty products, highlighting unique features and benefits tailored to customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely procurement of specialty and custom-order items.
  • Work with warehouse and logistics teams to confirm inventory status, order fulfillment, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions, sales activities, and product knowledge updates.
  • Support inside and outside sales team efforts by preparing materials, follow-up communications, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and solution-focused experience.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
