What You’ll Be Doing As an Estimator, you’ll be our go-to expert for turning blueprints and specs into actionable bids. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like: Decode the details : Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and proposals to identify exactly what products and solutions are needed for our bids. Problem-solver extraordinaire : Clear up discrepancies and communicate with architects, customers, and internal teams to keep everything on track. Master of organization : Manage bid timelines, document details with precision, and communicate qualifications with confidence. Product whiz : Stay up to date on the latest supplier offerings and innovations to deliver top-notch estimates. Team player : Collaborate with colleagues, share ideas for improving processes, and build great relationships across the board. Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical documents like architectural plans and specs.
- Sharp math skills for calculations involving discounts, geometry, and more.
- A knack for solving practical problems and adapting to situations where every project is a little different.
- Excellent communication skills, whether you’re writing reports or presenting ideas to a group.
