About The Position

Competitive pay: $19–$21/hr + $2/hour for each additional child We are an approved respite provider for families throughout San Diego County , offering both ongoing weekly placements and flexible “On Call” assignments. Regional Center Special Programs : A supportive team environment with training and hands-on guidance Legal employment with direct deposit pay A meaningful opportunity to help families and neurodivergent children thrive We reimburse caregivers for up to 20 miles of their round trip, starting after the first 20 miles traveled. Support neurodivergent children and teens—including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy—while gaining experience and bringing joy to local families.

Requirements

• Engaging, creative, and child-focused individuals who enjoy play, arts & crafts, reading , and supporting learning through fun
• Childcare or nanny experience preferred; references may come from paid or unpaid work
• Willingness to work with multiple families in various home environments
• Reliable and insured transportation to travel across San Diego County
• Cell phone with data to manage schedules and job info via app
• Flexible schedules - availability for part-time or full-time shifts between 12:00pm–9:00pm
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
• Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
• Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
• May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
