Operate office equipment, such as typewriter/keyboard and copier in the preparation of instructional materials, bulletins, rosters, or other materials; maintain records and files. Straighten or organize classroom or other learning facility; may accompany students on field trips; may attend in-service training sessions, back-to-school nights and other school activities. Respect confidential nature of pupil records and school reports; assist in maintaining student contacts, observe and report to teacher unusual or atypical behavior or other problems; may attend parent conferences; assist teacher in maintaining discipline and monitor classroom, playground, or other areas; may administer first aid in the absence of the teacher or school nurse. The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for Specialized Instructional Aide's - Classroom. Under general supervision, the employee will assist, tutor, and educate students individually or in groups in a classroom or similar learning situation, following a prescribed curriculum.
