About The Position

Specialized Behavioral Health Resource Parent Support Worker SBH-RPSW I Educational Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field Work Experience Must have at least three (3) years of direct experience with children/families in either a job related or volunteer capacity. Status Full-time; Non-Exempt Qualifications Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and inter-personal skills. Must demonstrate leadership tenants and the ability to work independently with children and families. Knowledge of Kinship Foster Care services and adoption preferred. Must possess excellent case management and client assessment skills. Must have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with other professionals and service providers.

  • Current Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
  • Access to an insured, registered vehicle that can be used for employment
  • Available to work flexible schedule (weekend hours as scheduled)
  • City/County travel
  • Carry agency cell phone
  • On Call
  • Reports to SBH Supervisor

  • Knowledge of Kinship Foster Care services and adoption preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete home visits twice a month to monitor the home and ensure the child’s treatment goals are being met
  • Provide trainings to resource parents to support the children in their home
  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention strategies to resource parents
  • Intervene in crisis situations and provide support all parties involved
  • Interface will all service providers for the purpose of service delivery and goal planning
  • Certify and recertify resource homes
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings with service providers
  • Assist as needed with transportation to appointments and visits
  • Obtain documentation of medicals, dentals, behavioral health, school records and other paperwork
  • Participate in agency trainings
  • Adhere to all other program and agency policies and procedures governing the objective of the agency and program.
  • Work on-call hours as directed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
