The Specialized 2025 Internship for Hardware Development Engineer at Amazon Next-Gen Technologies offers students the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge technology projects across various domains such as PCB, Optical, Radio Frequency, Robotics, and more.   • Contribute to schematic design and PCB layout for innovative hardware projects.
  • Assist in prototype development and optimization for emerging technologies.
  • Participate in hardware validation and debugging across multiple product lines.
  • Develop and implement automated test procedures using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate on experiments for quantum computing or satellite systems.
  • Support the integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into hardware designs.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with an expected graduation between October 2025 - December 2028.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuit design, power systems, and RF concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting using standard lab equipment.
  • Programming skills in at least one language (e.g., C++, Python, or MATLAB).
  • Hands-on experience with emerging technologies such as quantum computing, satellite systems, robotics, or advanced consumer electronics.
  • Proficiency in PCB design, prototyping, and testing of electronic systems, including use of specialized software tools like SPICE, MATLAB, or FPGA development environments.
  • Knowledge of advanced topics such as RF/microwave design, machine learning hardware acceleration, space-grade electronics, or cutting-edge display technologies.
  • Demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary projects combining hardware and software, such as IoT devices or AI-enabled systems.
