About The Position

The Specialist, Dublin primarily serves as a representative for the College to support student service functions at the Dublin Regional Learning Center (RLC). This role supports students in a one-stop student service environment. The Specialist provides support to other areas at the College, including working closely with the location’s academic advising team, assisting faculty and testing services, and facilitating student support services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of experience working with post-secondary learners.
  • State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s)
  • An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Support Prepares site for instruction, makes room assignments, and maintains equipment (i.e. pens, markers, paper, etc.) and technology (i.e. projectors, computers, etc.) as needed by faculty, students, or staff.
  • Understands and explains College processes including applications, admissions, enrollment, and financial aid.
  • Provides information about campus services and resources, student life, and opportunities for campus involvement.
  • Enrollment & Student Services Support Supports RLC programs by coordinating activities, maintaining campus knowledge through email, newsletters, flyers, and other forms of communications, maintaining records and confidentiality.
  • Supports services offered at the location (i.e. advising, open computer labs, tutoring, student activities, etc.) and performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Assists the site supervisor by creating and maintaining various documents and reports, and completes projects as assigned.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student records and other confidential or sensitive information.
  • Customer Service Provides customer service through a variety of communication methods (i.e. greets individuals, answers telephone, responds to questions, and provides other areas of assistance as needed).
  • Provides information and support to students for programs of study and next steps for enrollment, including admission criteria, documents needed, financial aid, orientation, placement testing, advising, course selection, registration, and fee payment.
