About The Position

L3Harris is searching for a technical professional to join the Data Center Operational Support Services team as a Specialist, Systems Administrator. Responsibilities for this position include supporting Windows Domains, vulnerability and compliance remediation, physical and virtual Windows OS server support, application support, and physical and virtual desktop OS support. This position will also require the management of data center infrastructure such as enterprise storage, fiber channel switches, and VMware vSphere. Due to secure network access requirements, this position is ONSITE and located at L3Harris offices located in Melbourne, Florida. This role may require weekend, after-hours, or on-call rotations to meet program requirements and/or ongoing program support. This position may require limited travel in an emergency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (Connection Brokers, UAGs, AppVolls), vRealize Operations Manager, and Log Insight.
  • Backup solutions such as Rubrik.
  • Microsoft Certificate Authority setup and configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DHCP, Site and Services, Users and Computers.
  • Responsible for supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, and configuration guidelines.
  • Responsible for supporting the building, configuration, and maintenance of virtual computer environments using solutions like VMware vSphere and Horizon.
  • Support software installations, upgrades, and patching operating systems maintaining them in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and wide area network related problems associated with the assigned Enterprise system(s).
  • Coordinates with server and operating system vendors to resolve issues, arrange service, and obtain support. Develop schedules for the installation and monitoring of local network and stand-alone information resources.
  • Installs and provides support for internal development software and applications.
  • Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum level of performance. Ensures server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Conducts routine hardware and software audits of servers for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and configuration guidelines. Knowledgeable of networking associated with a LAN based server and workstations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Public Trust clearance.
