About The Position

Provides specialized coaching, programming, and support to students, alumni, and prospective students in navigating university transfer. Ensures students are informed about articulation agreements, transfer opportunities, and academic pathways that align with their educational and career goals.

Requirements

  • Transfer admission and articulation processes, including state and institutional policies.
  • College and university systems, academic programs, and degree requirements.
  • Student development theories and best practices for supporting student transitions.
  • Data collection, assessment, and reporting tools.
  • Providing proactive, student-centered coaching and support.
  • Organizing and managing multiple projects, programs, and events.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively through written, verbal, and presentation methods.
  • Analyzing and applying data to improve student services and outcomes.
  • Using technology, including student information systems (e.g., Ellucian, Salesforce), CRM platforms, and virtual meeting tools.
  • One (1) year related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Four years of related experience OR Associates Degree and two years of related experience can be substituted for the required education.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year work experience providing academic advising, coaching, or transfer support in a higher education setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Communication, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individualized coaching and guidance to students, alumni, and prospective students on transfer pathways, university selection, and academic goal planning.
  • Maintains expertise in transfer policies, articulation agreements, and educational pathways to provide accurate and timely information.
  • Plans, coordinates, and delivers transfer-related programs and events, including transfer fairs, workshops, and university visits.
  • Collaborates with faculty, advisors, and external university partners to strengthen transfer processes and ensure consistency across the district.
  • Supports specialized student populations (e.g., veterans, students with disabilities, and first-generation students) through tailored programming and advising strategies.
  • Develops and maintains transfer resources and communication materials, both digital and in print.
  • Collects and analyzes data on transfer outcomes, event participation, and student satisfaction to inform service improvements.
  • Represents the college at transfer-related meetings and collaborates with community and university partners.
  • Participates in professional development to stay current on transfer trends, legislation, and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
