This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of specialists within Blue Origin's Global Supply Chain organization, you will develop and implement comprehensive training programs for procurement and supply chain professionals. This role directly supports Blue Academy with a primary focus on the procurement arm of Global Supply Chain while providing overall support across all branches. You will collaborate with a small core team and coordinate with similar roles in materials management and material planning to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences across the supply chain organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, supply chain, business administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and delivering technical training programs, preferably in supply chain or procurement
  • Proficiency with learning management systems and common training delivery platforms
  • Demonstrated experience with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Strong understanding of training evaluation techniques and metrics
  • Experience creating engaging multimedia training content using various authoring tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations, systems, and best practices
  • Certification in instructional design, training delivery, or related field
  • Experience with ERP systems used in supply chain management
  • Project management experience, particularly related to learning program implementation
  • Experience developing technical job aids and process documentation
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements in government contracting environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical and professional training programs specific to Global Supply Chain processes, tools, and systems with emphasis on procurement functions
  • Create and maintain training documentation, knowledge bases, job aids, and reference materials for supply chain professionals
  • Conduct training needs assessments and contribute to the development of learning plans for GSC team members at all levels
  • Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, assessments, and key performance metrics
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify critical knowledge areas and develop appropriate learning content
  • Update and enhance existing training materials to reflect process changes, system upgrades, and emerging best practices
  • Manage training schedules and coordinate delivery across multiple teams and locations
  • Provide input on vendor selection for specialized training needs and external resources
  • Support the implementation of new supply chain systems and tools through targeted training initiatives
  • Track completion of required training and certifications for supply chain personnel
