About The Position

Under direction, administers the core administrative functions for assessments, interviews, and performance appraisals—processing, scheduling, proctoring, reporting, and tracking candidate data using technology. Also evaluates job roles and selection tools through data analysis, assists in designing and delivering talent processes and trainings, and supports talent analytics projects along with related duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Educational Testing and Measurement, or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of psychology - human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment of traits, behaviors, and affect.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of at least one statistics program/software (R, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of questionnaire, survey, or assessment design and validation
  • Working knowledge of job analysis and/or competency modeling
  • General knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing the employment assessment and selection process.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate computer and Excel skills.
  • Intermediate mathematics and data analysis skills.
  • Good critical thinking skills to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches.
  • Good report and presentation writing skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work with a variety of diverse groups in a tactful and effective manner.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods of time and constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Exempt (Non-Union) employees must live within the boundaries of the CTA Statutory Service Area either at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in job analysis or competency modeling and assessment or survey development and administration preferred.
  • Graduate level training in Industrial/Organizational Psychology preferred.
