The Specialist, Systems Engineer (SE) performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems. The Specialist SE is part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.

  • Be a member of a diversely skilled engineering team in the design, implementation, and testing of Networking Systems.
  • Must work on the facility with some limited flexibility.
  • Requires bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, or Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience, or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Ability to travel 10%.
  • Experience in Network and Systems Support/Installation, Cisco, Dell Networking OS10, Brocade IOS, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP is highly desirable.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with packet inspection tools (WireShark, TCPDump) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows OS is highly desirable.
  • Experience with multicast routing is desired.
  • Knowledge of MPLS and VPNs is desired.
  • Experience with VMWare ESXi and virtual environments.
  • Experience with HAIPE devices is desired.
  • Ability to pass an FAA Class 3 flight physical.
