About The Position

L3Harris Tactical Communications seeking a supplier quality engineer to support our supply chain team. Successful candidates will have a technical background with experience in electro-mechanical assembly and quality. This role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Contract Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test
Experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis.
Development of Risk Mitigation plans to support successful release of new radio accessories.

Responsibilities

Manage the supply chain to reduce variability, increase reliability and ensure on-time delivery.
Focus on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, and data reporting.
Facilitate Part/Process Qualification through FAI and PPAP.
Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material.
Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production.
Support the development and commercialization of radio sub-assemblies.
Willingness to travel on occasion (25% or more).
Ability to obtain US Government clearance.
