About The Position
This position will assist in the fulfillment of institutional goals and policies, as guided by relevant laws, related to disability services. The primary responsibilities will be: administrative support; transition activities related to outreach; and transition activities related to orientation. 'Transition' here used is referring to the transition of individuals with disabilities from the K-12 or workforce settings to higher education. This includes: assisting with communication, intakes, and processing; assisting with and helping to coordinate recruitment and orientation activities; and assisting with the facilitation of programming to support students and faculty with transition-related needs. First point of contact with individuals whose emotions may be heightened. Both in-state and out-of-state travel may be necessary to provide and/or receive training. Typical work hours fall between Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but some evening and weekend hours may be required.
