Stationary engineer will perform various preventative maintenance, repairs, and hands-on work within JLL standards and guidelines across commercial properties in Santa Ana, CA. This mobile role involves implementing operations, maintenance, and facilities strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient buildings, building systems, and equipment. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Applying comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, especially regarding energized work, working at heights, and confined spaces Recognizing, assessing, and mitigating or eliminating risks in facility operations Using proper PPE for all associated maintenance and repair tasks Evaluating, training, and coaching Engineers and Maintenance Technicians as requested by supervisors Completing repairs and maintenance on commercial building systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Vertical Transportation, Life Safety, Roofs, Structure, Parking Lots) using industry standard tools Performing preventative maintenance to keep properties in peak operational condition Servicing diverse areas, including office spaces, warehouse areas, and lab spaces

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Skilled Trades experience
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Ability to analyze Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and HVAC systems, determine causes of malfunctions, and implement corrective actions
  • Experience working with ice machines
  • Proficiency with computers and programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions during daylight and nighttime hours
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC

Responsibilities
