Software Engineer
About The Position
L3Harris is seeking an experienced and highly motivated embedded software engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded software development and experience with digital signal processing (DSP). This position involves design, implementation, verification and troubleshoot of real-time embedded software and signal processing algorithms. In this role, you will: Work closely with an Agile team of experienced software engineers on projects that involve the development and analysis of innovative real-time signal processing solutions. Have the opportunity to stay up to date with the latest advancements in DSP technology and apply new techniques and methodologies. Contribute to the strategic direction of DSP solutions and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
- Development experience with the Linux OS
- Proficiency with C++ and C programming languages
- Proficiency with multi-threaded, multi-core, and real-time operating systems
- Experience with object-oriented software development.
- Understanding of Design, Implementation, Integration and Testing of large software systems
- Experience with embedded software emulators/debuggers
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team including hardware, software, and systems engineers.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

- Experience designing, developing, and implementing DSP algorithms.
- Experience simulating and analyzing DSP algorithms.
- Experience optimizing software for performance, power consumption, and memory usage on various hardware platforms.
- Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
- Experience with radio communications including waveforms, modulations, coding schemes and digital signaling.
- Experience with communications security (COMSEC) and transmission security (TRANSEC) concepts and algorithms.
- Experience with software development using artificial intelligence.
