We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile technology professional to join our Document Solutions engineering team. Our team supports a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications and platforms responsible for critical document intake, processing, and distribution workflows across the organization. These systems support high-volume, business-critical operations and require a combination of strong engineering discipline, operational excellence, and collaboration across multiple technology domains. The team operates in a full lifecycle model, supporting build, run, and continuous improvement responsibilities across a wide range of technologies. Our environment includes DevOps practices, full-stack development, platform administration, and operational support across both on-premises solutions and modern SaaS platforms. Engineers on the team are expected to contribute across the technology stack, participate in production support, and partner closely with architecture, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. In addition to supporting existing platforms, the team is currently engaged in a large strategic modernization initiative to transform a legacy document processing ecosystem into a modern AI-enabled Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform. This transformation leverages advanced capabilities such as machine learning, AI models, and large language models (LLMs) to automate document classification, extraction, and workflow processing. This initiative represents a key enterprise investment designed to improve automation, scalability, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role will provide an opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day operational excellence and long-term platform transformation, working with modern engineering practices and emerging AI-driven technologies. This will be a hybrid role preferably based out of our Columbus, OH office. As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
  • Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
