Overview: We’re looking for a forward-thinking, hands-on Specialist Software Engineer to join our high-profile and fast-growing CIR department , supporting the even faster-growing PRT BSA initiative . As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you’ll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

  • Serve as the lead developer on the PRT BSA line, driving design, development, and deployment of scalable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain robust data integration and transformation pipelines using ETL and Java .
  • Build automation and orchestration workflows leveraging Python , Harness , and Rancher .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate with Snowflake , AWS , and Springboot -based services.
  • Champion best practices in software engineering, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
  • Bring a future-forward mindset , with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies—especially in the AI space .
  • Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards in an agile environment.
  • Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
  • Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
  • Manages medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Proven experience in ETL and Java development (primary focus).
  • Strong proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Harness and Rancher for deployment and container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS services, and Springboot microservices.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical projects or mentoring developers.
  • Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.
  • Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Interest or experience in AI technologies is a strong plus.
  • Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
