About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Software Engineering / System Integrator to support Mission System integration and support in secure DoD and DCSA accredited environments. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining mission system environments with a mix of OS and hosting solutions. Integration of the mission systems will include the install and configuration of the Operating Systems and Mission software, Infrastructure services, and Cyber Security hardening. A solid understanding of Windows administration and enterprise services is required. Understanding of Linux administration is also a plus. A candidate must be a self-starter, be able to work independently, work effectively in a diverse technical team, and could take ownership of issues through resolution.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with operating systems deployment, upgrades, configuration management, patching and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience with windows infrastructure services such as Active Directory, GPO, DHCS, Anti Virus, DNS
  • Demonstrated experience with operating systems administration activities for Windows and Linux
  • Demonstrated experience with disk imaging tools
  • Demonstrated experience with configuration Management tools
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages (e.g.Bash, Powershell, Python, PHP)

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated familiarization with virtual technologies, preferably Windows Hyper-V
  • Familiar with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) techniques
  • Demonstrated experience with understanding of Network administration (e.g., switches, firewalls, routing, DMZs)
  • Demonstrated experience with tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Demonstrated experience with security standards such NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, DISA STIGS, Nessus audit files
  • Demonstrated experience with industry certifications in Windows and Cybersecurity related areas (e.g., Security+)

Responsibilities

  • Windows and Linux systems deployment, upgrades, configuration management, patching and maintenance
  • Conforming to Windows and Linux systems security standards (RMF, DISA, CMMC, DFARS, NISPOM)
  • Installation and hardening of enterprise services and integrated software systems
  • Managing User Access and Group Policy of Windows stand alone and Active Directory Domain systems
  • Backup and recovery of Windows based systems
  • Technical writing of work instructions and build manuals
