About The Position

The Specialist - Software Development & Engineering position at Charles Schwab is focused on developing high-quality, scalable software solutions for the Schwab Advisor Services platform. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in developing scalable software with C#, .NET, and Angular.
  • 2-5 years of experience building RESTful services.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as SQL/Oracle.
  • Solid understanding of Git, GitHub, CI/CD tools, and DevOps principles.
  • Strong experience with object-oriented programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Good understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with DevOps best practices and automated deployment pipeline tools.
  • Knowledge of cloud frameworks and design patterns such as Micro-services and Micro-UI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with .Net core, MongoDB, PCF, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence, Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Kafka.
  • Experience with adding tracing capabilities using App Dynamics/Adobe tagging.
  • Prior Financial Services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software using C#, .NET, and Angular frameworks.
  • Create and consume RESTful services.
  • Participate in Agile software development principles and Scrum-based delivery teams.
  • Translate requirements into design and implement fully tested solutions.
