About The Position

The Procurement Specialist role is a key position within the Global Site Services Procurement team at a leading pharmaceutical company. This role focuses on supporting the full Site Services function, which includes managing various programs related to facility management and sourcing initiatives. The Specialist will collaborate with category leads and stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, oversee sub-categories, and provide data analytics and supplier performance management support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of demonstrable work experience in sourcing, supplier management, or facilities management within the bio/pharma sector.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively within international teams.
  • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent activities.
  • Strong written communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • International experience in a global environment.
  • Proficiency in SQL, MongoDB, Spotfire, R, Python, Tableau, and/or Power-BI for data analysis and visualization.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence digital visualization and analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Ariba or similar sourcing and purchasing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the categorization of spending and the development of sourcing strategies for specific sub-categories.
  • Gather, cleanse, validate and analyze data related to spend, savings, performance metrics, customer surveys, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team and the Digitalization team to extract data from various sources across the company and suppliers.
  • Create visualizations, including dashboards, to make data easily interpretable and communicable.
  • Assist in the development, management, and continuous improvement of governance processes and Supplier Performance Management.
  • Support project management activities, including managing project plans and tracking actions.
  • Assist the Site Services team in various category and sourcing activities such as benchmarking and conducting sourcing events.
  • Advocate for diversity and inclusion within the procurement processes.
