Responsibilities
- End-to-End business responsibility for planning the enterprise SDMS (Shopfloor Data Management System) platform, including Torque and Angle, Waveform, and Parametrization.
- Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders (automation, maintenance, IT, industrial engineering, etc.) as well as external suppliers to identify technological and business needs, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring the seamless integration of state-of-the-art technology on the shopfloor, with a focus on the integration of the SDMS and MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
- Taking responsibility for project coordination in terms of time, costs, and quality (preparation, implementation, training, and documentation of all necessary project milestones).
- Supporting the planning of Production/Shopfloor systems from concept through the implementation phase to final acceptance.
- Developing specifications, leading kick-off meetings with all relevant production planners, and conducting joint concept/review releases with production teams.
- Developing specifications, realization, and management of reports critical to production and operations.
- Supplier Management: Tracking system and equipment construction, answering open questions from suppliers, supporting equipment connectivity, testing, and complete documentation.
- Commission and Acceptance: Conducting availability tests, training, and open points tracking (defect processing), final acceptance, and lessons learned.
- Carrying out responsibilities in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelines, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in industry (automotive production preferred)
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Demonstrated expertise in Production/Shopfloor systems and/or production systems such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Edge Computing, Torque Data Management System, or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Experience with fastening applications: Torque and Angle, Waveform, Parametrization
- Ability to quickly adapt to a complex production and IT landscape in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Basic knowledge about automation technology/PLCs and modern interface technologies
- Project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Willingness to travel both domestic and internationally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data analytics, and their application in improving shopfloor operations
- Basic knowledge about robots, sensors, torque systems
- Ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains through the implementation of IT solutions and methodologies
