About The Position

The Shared Services Specialist is a hybrid role focused on providing comprehensive support in accounting and human resource functions within an airport setting. This position involves managing cash control, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and employee relations, while ensuring high-quality administration in both areas. The role requires close collaboration with the Director of Operations, Regional Controller, and Corporate Human Resources to maintain effective operations.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accounting or Human Resources strongly preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum two years of administrative experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work on site at Bradley International Airport.

Responsibilities

• Management of the property safe including petty cash, cash drawers, and any/all monies to be deposited in the bank.
• Conduct and be responsible for cash audits.
• Perform weekly audits in YEG SSP units.
• Maintenance and cash balances of Glory safes.
• Ensure weekly maintenance is performed in accordance with set standards.
• Follow all property procedures involving any cash entering or leaving the cash room.
• Prepare bank deposits, change orders, and reconcile cash daily from prior day's business.
• Reconciliation of deposits with amounts received in bank on a weekly basis.
• Prepare, order, and receive change orders from the bank in accordance with set standards.
• Accurately reconcile daily cash and vouchers of sales associates through Lynx BM, reporting variances, if any, and closing the week on LynxBM as per set weekly deadline.
• Invoicing vouchers to airlines weekly and follow up for payment from airlines.
• Maintaining access controls on CI server including creating access for new recruits, deletion for separations, and modification of access as necessary.
• Notify Director and Controller immediately about any cash discrepancies.
