Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of direct related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 8 years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering, with a strong focus on tool installation, preferably in the defense industry.
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment installation and setup, in one or more areas such as photolithography, wet/dry etch, deposition, CMP, Dicing metrology or AMHS.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical issues related to semiconductor equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols related to semiconductor equipment installation and operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a Class 100 cleanroom.
  • Proficient in maintaining and repairing a wide range of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, including lithography, wet etch, dry etch, deposition, CMP, dicing, metrology, and inspection tooling.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and efficiently resolving complex electrical, mechanical, and process-related issues in semiconductor tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving capabilities and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the installation and setup of new semiconductor manufacturing equipment for defense industry projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful integration of equipment into the production line.
  • Conduct thorough equipment testing and verification to guarantee compliance with performance and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for newly installed tools to sustain equipment reliability.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics, analyze data, and implement measures to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and yield.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to tool installation or commissioning to minimize production downtime.
  • Work closely with equipment suppliers and vendors to coordinate the delivery, installation, and qualification of tools.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers to optimize tool settings and parameters for specific semiconductor processes.
  • Implement and follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations during the installation and setup processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including installation procedures, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance records.
