Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with SAP MDG, including full-cycle implementations.
  • Deep understanding of master data management principles, SAP MDG configurations, and data governance best practices.
  • Proven track record of delivering technical SAP MDG solutions that meet business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA modules (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FI/CO) and their integration with SAP MDG.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PMP).
  • Effective in gathering requirements from the business users.
  • Must have strong business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with respect to documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for managing data workflows is preferred.
  • SAP MDG Certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of the mining industry, including operational processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director, Portfolio and Governance, and other senior leadership to develop and execute the IT strategy for Master Data Governance.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP MDG, overseeing configuration, data modeling, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Optimize MDG workflows, improving system efficiency and end-user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP MDG.
  • Keep up to date with the SAP MDG roadmap and provide recommendations for system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Oversee the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of SAP MDG.
  • Lead IT projects related to Master Data Governance, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage tasks and workloads of the MDG support team.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance master data management processes through SAP MDG and related technologies.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and understanding of master data governance requirements.
  • Ensure master data governance solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
