About The Position

The Specialist, Research Quality Monitoring Program (RQMP) observes research practices and evaluates quality as the needs basis for process improvement in human research operations and management. The Specialist, RQMP aims to safeguard the interests and welfare of research participants, ensure that regulatory standards are met, uphold Good Clinical Practice (GCP), uphold accreditation standards, determine research best practices for recommended use, strengthen study team quality control and quality assurance capabilities, and to identify and facilitate the regulatory and quality-based education needs of the Children's Mercy research community. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Clinical or life science preferred and 3-5 years experience
  • Experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator, Research RN, or Research RN
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, CFR Part 50, 54, 56, 312, 314, and 812
  • Association of Clinical Research Professionals - Certified Professional or equivalent within 365 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, conduct, evaluate, and report on RQMP services as assigned in accordance with established Research Quality Management Framework, standard work plans and related program policies and procedures.
  • Manage RQMP services effectively, efficiently, and intentionally to maintain investigator and study staff engagement and satisfaction with the work process and its outcome. These functions are carried out through RQMP's six core services for which the Specialist, RQMP is responsible for: Quality Assessments, Internal Monitoring, Quality Management Planning, Study Start-Up Consultations, Quality Education Training, and general Quality Support.
  • With other RQMP team members, promote and advocate for research quality excellence and support continuous improvement of the RQMP.
