As a Specialist Repair Technician, you bring a solid foundation of technical expertise and hands-on experience to the repair of camera and photography equipment. This role is ideal for a technician ready to take the next step in their career—deepening their skills, expanding into more complex repairs, and contributing to a high-performing team that takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and a shared passion for photography. You’ll be trusted with a broader range of repairs and diagnostics across camera bodies, lenses, and accessories. Requirements

  • Professional experience in repair, soldering, troubleshooting, or related fields.
  • Mechanical or electronic aptitude.
  • Previous experience with an OEM
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • The ability to self-manage and switch between tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions.
  • Patience, tact, and confidence when dealing with complex issues.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to build merchant category budget.
  • Basic knowledge of applied statistics, core machine learning algorithms and basic AI principles

Nice To Haves

  • Photographic/product knowledge experience (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Performing mid-to-advanced level repairs on digital and analog camera equipment, lenses, and accessories
  • Diagnosing a wide range of issues using technical knowledge and testing tools
  • Request purchase orders from appropriate vendors for repairs
  • Manage workload and transport photo gear from contractor location to the warehouse
  • Communicate with the administration team on service updates, technician notes.
  • Documenting repair work, parts usage, and technical observations in our system
