About The Position

The Promotions Specialist will work with the Promotions Manager and Marketing Systems Specialist and will be responsible for creating and executing successful promotions. They will cross train with the Marketing Systems Specialist and assist with database marketing functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School level education with a degree in Marketing or related field preferred and at least 2-3 years related work experience in a marketing department; or 2-3 years casino work experience with an emphasis on communicating and interacting with players and guests.

  • 2-3 years related experience Hospitality, Marketing or heavy guest service oriented position preferred.
  • Or, equivalent combination of education and experience or related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
  • Specializes in creating, planning, and executing successful promotions, offers, rewards, player events, and direct marketing programs for Players Club, Player Development lead generation, Web, Mobile App, Kiosk campaigns, Email and Social Media programs.
  • Creates, plans and executes casino promotions, player packages and tournaments including theme, design, set-up, supplies, rules & regulations. Communicates and coordinates activities of off-site agencies, database suppliers, list brokers, and vendors as needed.
  • Acts as point of contact for promotions and offers and coordinates with Dreamcatchers Club, Hosts, Slot, Table Games, Security, Surveillance, and any additional departments as required including vendors to ensure appropriate compliance, promotion set-up, and execution.
  • Serves as promotion spokesperson on the casino floor before, during, and after promotions are executed.
  • Specializes in trouble-shooting and problem resolution of offers, rewards, and promotions.
  • Executes, supports and is present during promotions and events serving as the promotion lead and supporting Dreamcatcher’s Club team.
  • Creates and adheres to approved design and execution of promotion (7575-113) budgets, plans, reports, mailers, entries, merchandise, prizes, certificates, and invitations from promotional and direct mail offers.
  • Maintains assigned campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports as needed.
  • Disseminates information (both oral and written) including approval process, department communications, and regulatory reporting. Records monthly promotion on-hold messaging and radio advertising as needed.
  • Manages promotional money requests, necessary coupon orders, and facilitates pre- and post-promotion reporting.
  • Manages inventory control, transport of items, and distribution of items to guests.
  • Assists in Players Club by issuing player cards and reprints, distributing gifts, and any other services needed.
  • Communicates effectively with all departments, customers, system vendors and Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Assists in ensuring promotional and direct mail messaging supports the JRCR brand and quality standards.
  • Assists in pulling player database and marketing reporting systems and identifying target market segments.
  • Assists in tracking and analyzing results of marketing programs and makes recommendations to the Promotions Manager if programs should be modified or enhanced.
  • Assists in ensuring internal controls and compliance is adhered to.
  • Assists with coordination activities of off-site agencies, database suppliers, list brokers, and vendors as needed.
  • Assists in email and social media postings weekly, monthly, and/or as needed.
